Recoup is a brand new beverage that has hit the booming wellness market. What I love about it is the main ingredient: GINGER

I had a little taste test in NYC a few weeks ago and I wanted to tell you how amazing this taste is.

There are 3 unique flavors: Watermelon Blood Orange, Cucumber Lemon, & Pineapple Coconut.  It’s kind of like tasting Gelato – those exact flavors hit you right in the tongue and your senses are satisfied. My favorite was Watermelon Blood Orange – it had the taste of actual watermelon (not the fake kind) with a hint of sweet citrus and then that spicy ginger undertone. Cucumber Lemon is a little like a spa day escape – you feel refreshed and nourished. Pineapple Coconut took me right to the beach drinking Pina Coladas. These flavors are really unique and bang on the description.

Ginger Benefits

Ginger is a powerful root that is amazing for overall health and wellness. Here are some of the benefits from California College of Ayurveda

In western herbal terminology, it is described as a stimulant, diaphoretic, expectorant, carminative, anti- emetic, analgesic, sialagogue, appetizer, anti-flatulent, anti-tussive, antimicrobial, hypolipidemic, anti-oxidant, anti-spasmodic, anti-atherosclerotic, cardiotonic, circulatory stimulant, and emmenagogue.

Its indications include; digestive upset of all kinds, including nausea, indigestion, vomiting, belching, abdominal pain, gas, colic, and motion sickness. It can also be used for respiratory conditions, rheumatism, osteoporosis, gout, colds, flu, laryngitis, arthritis, hemorrhoids, headaches, heart disease, gas, “cramps in the abdomen, including menstrual cramps due to cold”, migraines, lumbago, fever, and its fresh juice can even be used for burns.

With such a long list of actions and indications, it is no wonder it is referred to as “the universal medicine”.

This beverage is marketed as a wellness beverage because it’s great for complimenting your daily fitness habits. From yoga to a great sweat session at the gym, your muscles will thank you for putting this into your body. The benefits are muscle recovery, immunity, and aiding digestion.

And they get their water from upstate NY!!

The Company Mission

I really love when a company takes a product and applies it to daily life to make people feel better. The mission of Recoup is to use ingredients that are natural and sourced with an intention of helping the environment and community. “Connection to the Earth and connection to community are core values.”
